ONGOING EVENTS:
*Thursdays: /Open Mic nights!!/* 6pm signup, 7pm start.
Sing a song, recite a poem, give a comedy routine, politically rant,
do a mime... whatever you want!
EVERY
SUNDAY: Drum/Dance/Rave Circle
We will be opening up the Phoenix Cafe for a drum circle. Bring your
drum or instrument, your voice and your soul for a night of intense
rhythm and self-expression. All musical skill levels welcome and encouraged
to come... dancing and/or meditation in the circle is especially encouraged!
This will be happening every Sunday starting on 12/6. Free to attend.
Friday, March
25; 9pm-1am - $5.
Drunken Circus Monkey: A talented group specializing
in covers of songs you'd not expect from any tyipcal cover band.
They play quite a lot more than just your typical radio hits, unafraid
to delve into a more obscure catalogue. Come for the tunes you know...
stay for the ones you don't!
Detroit Windows: Opening the night with their straightforward brand
of rock, raw and loud--the way it's meant to be!
Saturday, March
26; 6pm-12am - *$5.
"Reform or Revolution": an open discussion
forum addressing the economic and political crisis, 6-8pm, free
to attend. Followed by a fundraiser for the League of Revolutionaries
for a New America (LRNA), 8pm-12am, featuring local musicians, poets
and open mic performance. $5 suggested donation, BYOB, potluck meal
available. LRNA is an organization that seeks to imbue the American
people with a vision of an economic system based upon public ownership
of society's productive resources with distribution according to
human need.

Cafe is located at 24918 John R, just south of 10 mile road in Hazel
Park.(MAP)
Hours of operation are 7pm-11pm daily, 7pm-1am or later for Friday/Saturday
events.
Open Mic Nights are Mondays and Thursdays.
We are closed Tuesdays for a private event.
